Hole In One!!
I have a standing tee time every Friday at 6:00 AM.
Today at 7:25, I pulled out an 8-iron on the 7th tee.
147 yards to the middle of the green.
Hole placement - back, center-right.
Struck the ball clean, center-left, high with a very slight fade.
Ball landed 6 inches above the hole, slightly left.
One bounce back and to the right and in the cup.

Patton And Aliens
As I watched the trailer for the upcoming movie "Cowboys and Aliens", I noticed a scene that looked similar to the fictitious scene in Patton where he shoots at an oncoming German plane. So I thought I would do an illustration where Patton gets ready to shoot at an alien ship. Patton and Aliens!

Speed Paint Demo 3-3-11
Well, when my 8 year old saw what I had done yesterday for his brother, he wanted one also. So my classes had to endure tank demos this week. We focused on painting the ground in these. I'll finish this one also.

Quick paint Demo 3-2-11
This one is for my 10 year old son. He's had a bit of a trying time of late. He's into tanks right now so I thought I would do a WW1 tank for him for this weeks demo. He liked it. I'll finish this one - adding some soldiers milling around in the rain.

Creating Musical Art
Artist Creates Cover to Represent Band's Latest Album
If a picture is worth a thousand words, an illustration used for the cover of an album surely must say that and more.
And musicians, as artists themselves, know that the artwork must represent the band as well as the music.
So when Plain White T’s was creating their latest album, they spent time thinking of what they wanted to say and how they wanted it recreated on the CD cover. They even drafted a rough sketch while on a plane flight that their record label, Hollywood Records, used when contacting Cliff Cramp, professor of art, about bringing the band’s vision to life.
The result will be seen when the Grammy Award-nominated band releases its latest album, “Wonders of the Younger,” Dec. 8. Not only is Cramp’s work on the cover, it is used for the album booklet boxed with the CD.
“The communication was excellent between all those involved,” said Cramp, a Cal State Fullerton alumnus with a BFA and MFA in illustration. “That, and the theme, made this a really fun project to work on.”
